About Us

We build and repair decks, patio covers and pergolas across Mesquite, Dallas County and the towns around them.

How We Work

Every job starts with someone looking at the actual space. Grade, access, drainage, what is already there and what condition it is in — none of that is visible from a phone call, and a number given without it is a guess that gets revised upward later.

You get a written quote that separates the structure from the surface. That split is deliberate. The structure is what you cannot change later without taking the deck apart, and it is the wrong place to economise. The surface is where your budget genuinely has room to move.

We will also tell you when a repair makes more sense than a replacement, which is more often than people expect. A deck with a sound frame and tired boards is a resurfacing job, and it costs a fraction of a rebuild.

Building for North Texas

Most of what shortens a deck's life here happens where nobody looks. Dallas County sits on expansive clay that swells and shrinks with moisture, and footings that do not reach past the moving layer travel with it. That is why decks here go out of level, why gates stop latching and why posts start to lean.

The other factor is sun. A west-facing deck with no shade will be unusable for much of a Texas summer whatever it is made of, which is why we would rather talk about a cover or a pergola at the same time as the deck than a year afterwards, when the posts are already in the wrong places.

What You Will Not Find On This Site

There are no stock photographs here presented as our own work, no invented testimonials and no awards. Every image used to illustrate a material or a style is labelled as exactly that — a style, a material, an option — because a photograph of somebody else's deck tells you nothing true about the deck you are going to get.

For the same reason we do not quote municipal permit fees or approval times on this site. Those figures change, they differ between Mesquite and the towns around it, and a number published here would be read as a commitment. What we do instead is confirm what applies to your specific address before anything is ordered, and put it in writing with the quote.

If something on this page or in a quote is not clear, ask. A deck is a structure that has to hold people up for twenty years, and nobody should be agreeing to one they do not understand.
